PONTEFRACT Collieries and Matlock Town shared the spoils, with a late visitors’ goal denying the hosts all three points.
The first half was a competitive battle for midfield control, with clear-cut chances at a premium. The breakthrough arrived five minutes before the interval when Jack Wilson beat the offside trap, rounded the goalkeeper with composure and rolled home to give Colls the lead.
