■ AFTER sacking Colin Reid after just three games, managerless Walthamstow bounced back to winning ways with a midweek victory over Heybridge Swifts.
They continued this bounce in form with a solid victory over fellow strugglers Takeley.
After an even first half, in which neither side really threatened, Amaru Kabia broke the deadlock on the stroke of half-time, beautifully dinking the ball over the Takeley keeper.
Walthamstow continued to dominate in the second half but some wayward shooting meant they failed to increase their lead until the 85th minute...
