EAST Grinstead and Herne Bay were both worth a point in this even encounter.
A lively start saw both defences come out on top – though home debutant Louie Theophanous saw his flick come back off the post after 25 minutes.
Grinstead took the lead just before the break when a good move on the left found Dominic Vose in space to cross to Dan Perry to sweep the ball in at the near post.
