PRESCOT Cables took on Ashton United at the Auto Safety Centre Stadium in a ‘Mad Friday’ fixture that would be the Bulls last game until the new year.
Prescot started the game the strongest. An opportunity for Cables forward John Murphy to open the scoring was denied with a sliding goal line clearance from an Ashton defender.
Ashton would have their own opportunities however and forced the Cables keeper Calvin Hare into saves from Callum Rowe and Mikey O’Neill. Ashton looked particularly dangerous from corners...
