LOWER Breck ensured they will sit atop of the NPL West on Christmas Day, but it wasn’t all plain sailing on a freezing cold day in Anfield.
The game started evenly with the best opportunity of the opening exchanges coming as Mossley’s Obua Mugalula brilliantly turned to get one-on-one, but Theo Roberts saved well.
The deadlock was broken just after the half-hour as Mossley failed to clear the lines and Lewis Buckley curled an effort into the corner.
