EVAN Garnett’s hat-trick led the way as Long Eaton United swept in seven goals at Corby.
The home side started well enough with Dennis Halliday hitting the woodwork and Jordan Crawford shooting just wide, but a silly push gave Long Eaton a penalty and there was no coming back and it was 4-0 to the visitors by half-time.
In the second half, Corby looked to stead the ship for the early part of the restart, but errors allowed Long Eaton to step up a gear and pick Corby apart.
