Sol needs a grounding lower down

I WAS surprised with the front page coverage in The NLP for Sol Campbell (December 14). If Campbell is wondering why he’s not been offered managerial jobs then maybe he should review his managerial CV – eight wins in 30 games for Macclesfield and leaving Southend when they were second from bottom of League One.
Lower league and Non-League teams recognise that appointing ‘a name’ rarely works, especially one with little or no managerial success. Mark Hughes has tons of managerial experience and Robbie Savage did very well at Macclesfield....
