NEWTON Aycliffe secured local bragging rights with a big Boxing Day win over Bishop Auckland, lifting them out of the relegation places.
It took just 13 minutes for the home side to go 1-0 up when Charlie Dawson found Callum Luck in the midfield. Luck had acres of space and fired a superb shot straight into the top corner from 25 yards.
On the 30th-minute mark Jake Orrell saw his shot saved by Harrison Bond only for Jack Clarkson to rebound the shot in to make it 2-0.
