■STALYBRIDGE strengthened their playoff ambitions with a win at Atherton Collieries.
Colls’ Chinedu Uche had the first opportunity after three minutes, acrobatically volleying into the post.
The first half saw drama with the hosts’ Kier Barry and visiting Liam Tongue both possibly fortunate to avoid red cards for separate mistimed challenges.
