Pools party for new US owner

WELCOME: New Hartlepool owner Landon Smith

ALEX Reid scored an 84th-minute penalty as new owner Landon Smith saw Hartlepool United win for the first time.
The US businessman, who has taken over from Raj Singh, was unveiled to fans before kick-off and then watched on as Pools beat Altrincham 1-0.
In an exclusive with The NLP, Smith said: “I am so excited to be here, it’s also humbling. It’s a different experience for me and I am already enjoying it.”
