Turbines blown away by Twamley double

MERTHYR Town kept up their pursuit of long-time leaders South Shields with a comfortable win over an out-of-form Peterborough Sports.
Two goals in the space of 12 second-half minutes, both scored by Lewys Twamley, did the job for Paul Michael’s men who have now won six of their past seven games at Penydarren Park.
Meanwhile, Phil Brown’s Turbines ended the contest with ten men following Mark Jones’ dismissal for his lunge at sub Lee Lucas.
