GORLESTON claimed a hard-fought win over Newmarket Town at the Tristel Global Stadium in the Isthmian League North Division.
The Jockeys started slowly and were punished, Luke Johnson firing past James Young after four minutes.
Newmarket grew into the contest, with Joshua Lee the chief threat, but Antoni Bort stood firm to deny the hosts.
Seven minutes after the restart the visitors struck again as Spencer Keller doubled the lead, a cruel blow during the hosts’ best spell.
