Splatt! Javaun blasts ‘em

LATE goals helped holders Whitstable Town overcome a second-half scare to sweep aside Spartan South Midlands outfit Harpenden.
Javaun Splatt struck early in each half to reward Oysters pressure and although Conor Clarke’s volley threatened to upset the apple-cart, Nathan Jeche’s opportunist finish and a sizzling free-kick from Bradley Schafer settled the verdict.
The visitors started on the front foot and led after 18 minutes, Splatt hammering home from just eight yards after the Harps had failed to deal with a corner.
