■ A SECOND-HALF double from Freddie Sears capped a Maldon & Tiptree comeback to keep the pressure up on Felixstowe.
Maldon & Tiptree dominated the first half, but were unable to break through a stubborn Lowestoft defence.
Anisius Lewis had an early effort blocked by a sliding Rio Abodunde tackle and Louis Dunne had a volley blocked.
The Trawler Boys took the lead against the run of play in first-half stoppage time. Elliot Justham pulled off a fine initial save, but Mitchell Belmar was on hand to tap home.
