LEO Graham grabbed the only goal of the game as Bury came away from Chasetown with all three points.
The Shakers started the game at full tilt with two early efforts going wide or over.
Chasetown tried to battle back into the game and George Cater’s deflected cross was tipped over by Mitchell Allen.
There were two decent chances for the Scholars, one being saved by Allen and the other going just wide.
Minutes later, Bury had a chance from a tight angle but hit the wrong side of the post.
