During a cagey first half, the best chance fell to the visitors, whose long throw was flicked on by Scott Faber, and Ben Schroll headed inches over.
At the start of the second half, Devon Fender went inches wide before Eitel Goueth’s diving header grazed the bar.
Hassocks went close through Jamie Wilks but his attempt was denied by a goal-line clearance from Dami Olorunnisomo.
