United win late in Fitzy-time

FC UNITED left it until the very end to keep up their play-off chase with an 89th-minute winner against Prescot Cables at Broadhurst Park.
The Reds put Cables under early pressure and both Adam Le Fondre and Jordan Buckley saw shots flash wide.
But there’s no stopping the veteran Le Fondre and, in the 27th minute, he broke the deadlock.
It came at the second attempt after his first had hit the bar.
In the ensuing goalmouth scramble, the ball came back to him and he smashed it past Connor Edwards.
