■ BASFORD extended their unbeaten run to 17 games following a straightforward win over Bourne Town at Greenwich Avenue.
After a lacklustre first 70 minutes from both, Basford finally found the breakthrough when substitute Covarne Leon found Nyle Blake in the middle who turned and powered a finish into the bottom corner.
With 13 minutes to go, Lynden Joyce was fouled in the area giving Jordy Hallam the chance to double the hosts’s advantage. However, William Lakin in the Bourne goal was equal to it, pulling off an outstanding save to deny...
