Merthyr Town boss Paul Michael has spoken of the club’s pride after academy graduate Cole Jarvis completed a move into the EFL with Newport County.
The 24-year-old midfielder spent five years playing across the Welsh league system, helping Newport City win promotion to JD Cymru South in 2023.
Jarvis returned to the Martyrs 12 months later, signing a two-year contract, and has impressed ever since, helping the club win the Southern Premier South title last season and chipping in with seven goals and five assists in National League South this season.
