Jim Bentley has called on the Morecambe fans to generate a “carnival atmosphere” as he looks to steer the Shrimps away from relegation danger.
The Shrimps legend, 49, has returned for a second spell in charge at the Mazuma Stadium following the dismissal of Ashvir Singh Johal with the club having registered just one win from their last 10 matches and languishing in the National League drop zone.
Bentley played well over 300 matches for the Shrimps and managed the club for a further eight years, initially as player/boss, with the club in League Two.
