BROTHERS Ian and George Batten have followed in their father’s footsteps by taking charge of Sheppey United.
The siblings are sons of former legendary boss Ernie Batten, the much-loved manager, director and even co-founder of the Ites, who passed away last year at the age of 67.
They will jointly take over manager duties until the end of the season after former Ebbsfleet United boss Kevin Watson was sacked after a 2-0 defeat at Margate on Saturday extended their winless run to seven matches in the Isthmian South East division.
