■ FOURTH-placed play-off residents Bowers & Pitsea continued their march at the right end of the table, as they squeezed past Gorleston at the Len Salmon Stadium.
In a relatively non-descript battle in Essex, the hosts won out after making the most of an early opportunity. In the tenth minute, Jonathan Evans latched onto a Ross Wall knockdown from a long Quentin Monville throw and powered home via the underside of the crossbar.
