DAN Hopper’s fourth-minute finish saw Workington’s great escape bid gather momentum against Rushall, while results elsewhere went in their favour.
The Cumbrians had to grind out a third successive home win in very different circumstances to the previous week against fellow strugglers Morpeth.
There, they needed an 88th-minute Luke Hunter contribution but on this occasion, had their winner wrapped up inside four minutes.
