CROYDON edged out rivals Sittingbourne as fourth clashed with second in a real top-of-table six-pointer.
It was Croydon who started on the front foot, hitting the bar through James Taylor’s second-minute effort.
Dominated the possession, they took the lead midway through the first half with with Ben Wynter getting his head to the ball for only his second goal of the season.
