SHOLING secured a vital victory against Gosport Borough at the AEI Stadium.
The visitors made a perfect start as they opened the scoring within two minutes; Jake McCarthy collecting an inside pass and curling into the top-left corner for a brilliant finish. Borough looked stunned but did respond well and saw Ben Greenwood’s shot blocked from a tight angle, while Bradley Tar-buck scuffed harmlessly wide after good footwork in the 22nd minute.
