A CLINICAL second-half performance from Needham Market saw the home side record a thoroughly deserved 3-1 victory.
St Ives, however, broke the deadlock rather against the run of play on 14 minutes, as Michael Richens headed home a free-kick at the far post.
Tommy Smith was denied by the post four minutes later in a stop-start first half. The Marketmen,
who dominated the first period, started the second in the same vein.
Luke Ingram latched onto a great cross but the ball bounced off the forward and out.
The Suffolk side were deserved...
