BASINGSTOKE and Dorchester shared the points following some contentious officiating.
An otherwise conservative first half was lit up after 40 minutes as good work from ‘Stoke debutant Zach Ioannides led to Tom Blake stepping onto his left foot and curling a wonderful strike into the top corner in the half’s outstanding piece of quality.
Jack Dickson narrowly avoided turning Robbie Gallagher’s cross into his own net and Joe Barough volleyed across the face of goal as the hosts finished the half strongly.
