REDCAR moved to within seven points of clinching the league title, but had to work hard to see off Ossett.
It needed a strike from substitute Mark Anderson in the second minute of stoppage time to finally shake off the plucky West Yorkshire side.
United had twice hit back from behind, but were eventually undone at the death.
Brad Fewster put Redcar ahead on the stroke of half-time with a long-range strike, but Jack Crook levelled 12 minutes after the break when he latched on to a rebound. Adam Boyes restored the home advantage...
