BLACK ENDS TOWN SPELL

GRANT Black has stepped down as manager of Brighouse Town with the club ensconced in a relegation battle.
The former Belper Town and Ossett United boss quit after Wednesday’s 2-0 defeat to Dunston left the club second-bottom of NPL East, seven points from safety.
Black’s backroom team have also left with Derry Robson taking charge of yesterday’s trip to Pontefract Collieries.
Black took over at St Giles Road in May 2024, just before the club were handed a Step 4 reprieve having finished in the relegation zone.
