HUMBLES GIVES BOSS MAHER THE GRUMBLES

A LOW TEMPO and a lack of intensity were identified by Southend boss Kevin Maher as to why his side fell to defeat at the hands of a resurgent Altrincham.
Having re-entered the play-off spots on Tuesday after a fantastic win over league-leaders Rochdale, the Shrimpers couldn’t carry over the momentum as a strong Liam Humbles finish gave the Robins their fourth consecutive home win.
