ELLIOT LONG’S goal earned Billericay a crucial three points in the race for the play-offs in a tight encounter at Champion Hill.
In front of a huge crowd of 3,097, the Essex visitors almost took an early lead when Macauley Bonne had the ball in the back of the net in the third minute but was ruled to be offside.
Luke Wanadio hoped he had given the home fans something to cheer about in the 13th minute but his powerful effort smashed off the crossbar.
