CELTIC’S NERVES SETTLED BY IRLAM

STALYBRIDGE Celtic recorded a crucial victory over fellow play-off chasers Lower Breck, despite playing with ten men for more than 50 minutes of the game.
Celtic, who have now moved four points clear of Breck, dominated most of the first half and should really have been ahead after 25 minutes.
Andy Scarisbrick had ran through on goal before firing narrowly wide, while Benni Smales-Braithwaite’s shot from range struck a post.
However, the home side did take the lead after 40 minutes.
