■HARVEY Hayhurst found the top corner to keep Ramsbottom
United in the title race.
The second-placed side were level with third-placed Chadderton at the break, after Jacob Holland Wilkinson’s opener was levelled by Benjamin Lowe. But Hayhurst’s strike sealed Ramsbottom’s 2-1 win in front of a bumper gate of 473. The result was a blow to Chadderton’s own title bid as they slipped to five points behind the leaders. Ramsbottom remain one point behind leaders Wythenshawe who were 4-2away winners at Charnock Richard.
