Jimmy Ball insists he can handle the expectation of managing a club the size of Torquay United – in fact, he sees it as a ‘privilege’.
The 50-year-old was unveiled as the chosen one to succeed interim boss Neil Warnock at Plain-moor after four successful years at AFC Totton.
Ball led a golden era with the Stags, steering them to two promotions, from Step 4 into National League South, and then to a respectable mid-table spot amid esteemed company in their first ever season in Non-League’s second tier.
