Boreham Wood boss Luke Garrard says becoming the first Non-League team to lift the National League Cup is a “massive achievement” – and hopes the memories created can help inspire his side to promotion.
Trailing a talented West Ham Under 21 side 2-0 at the break, courtesy of goals from Lewis Orford and Josh Landers, Wood halved the deficit through Abdul Abdulmalik four minutes into the second half before Aaron Henry’s dramatic stoppage-time equaliser forced penalties.
