GUISBOROUGH Town’s game in hand over idle title rivals Shildon saw the Priorymen move five points clear at the top after a slender 1-0 win at Newcastle Benfield.
Alex Walker, set up by Matt Wilshaw, scored the winner after 66 minutes.
Dan Stephenson’s first half edge-of-the-box strike and Dan Lanning’s second-half brace gave Newcastle Blue Star a 3-0 home win over Penrith.
Stuart Rose scored all four goals, two in each half, as Boro Rangers won 4-0 at second-bottom Northallerton Town, who had James Coatsworth sent off after ten minutes.
