They had keeper Ashton Broome-Alexander to thank for keeping them in the game, with crucial saves to deny Ryan Smith twice and Owen Brooks during a first half of little quality.
The second half saw MK continue to have what few chances there were, with Broome-Alexander pulling off three great saves in quick succession.
