OMARI Sterling-James hit a hat-trick as second-placed Hednesford Town remained firmly in the thick of the title race by crushing relegation-haunted Morpeth Town.
The Pitmen started in brilliant fashion and went ahead on five minutes.
Chris Hussey cleared the ball towards Montel Gibson, who held the ball up and found Jake Jervis.
The latter set the ball back to Sterling-James who drove his effort past Dan Langley.
The Pitmen didn’t have to wait long to double their advantage.
