MARGATE picked up the
■ three points against a hard-working Erith Town.
The hosts got off to a great start after six minutes when a cross from Ben Greenhalgh evaded everyone and nestled into the far corner.
Erith came back into the game but with Sam Blackman controlling the midfield superbly and defending well the hosts held them back.
The second half was a more even affair, but after 75 minutes a run by Kai Garande culminated in a fine finish.
Dockers got back into it late on when a long throw was headed home by Jerome Jayaguru.
