WELWYN scored a morale-boosting win over newly crowned Division 1 Central champions Leighton Town, in the Beds visitors’ final away trip of the season.

The home Citizens took full points thanks to two second-half goals. Top scorer Steve Cawley netted his 20th of the campaign from close-in two minutes after the restart.
Match star Nick Ralfe secured the win with a cool finish 17 minutes from time, to keep WGC eighth in the table.
