IT WAS an emphatic win for Irish at Rowley Lane in an end-of-season dead-rubber where both sides contributed to the game, but the visitors got through with a flurry of goals right at the end.
James Meadows gave Irish the lead in the 28th minute after some good work from Clinton Dawe.
The hosts equalised 11 minutes later when a delightful pass from Tyler Smith picked out Max Kyte who finished well.
Kyte had a good chance to give the Lions the lead
early in the second half but his shot was off target.
