HITCHIN secured home advantage in the end-of-season play-offs with this narrow victory at Northwood.
The home side had the best chance of the early stages when Alie Bangura combined with Freddie Ford but shot across goal and wide.
The Canaries then grabbed the lead after 30 minutes when top scorer Taylor Rhiney pounced on a defensive slip and raced through, showing a good touch to take it past the goalkeeper and slot in from a tight angle.
