RAVENS PUNISHED HOPKINS STEPS UP

PROMOTION chasers Coalville Town have been deducted NINE points for fielding an ineligible player – but at least it still keeps them in the promotion hunt.
The United Counties League announced earlier this week that their Division One play-offs had been put on hold while an alleged breach was investigated.
It was suggested that the potential punishment may push the third-placed Ravens out of the play-off picture, but it has now been revealed that the nine-point sanction will ensure the Leicestershire club can still compete.
