RELEGATED Canvey Island will feel they ended their season with their heads held high following defeat in a head-turning six-goal encounter against tenth-placed finishers Ramsgate.
The visitors got the scoring underway in the 32nd minute, as Raphe Brown finished off a well-taken corner.
Just before the interval, a core of the 386 in attendance at the Steve’s Taxis Stadium were up celebrating an equaliser as Callum Newson caused Ramsgate’s backline problems to level up.
