■ MK IRISH’S first season at Step 4 ended with a defeat at home to Hadley.
They had taken the lead after 34 minutes when George Shreives fed the ball to Owen Brooks on the left, who cut inside and fired it past Charlie Taylor. Shreives could have doubled the lead for MK Irish just before half-time when he fired just wide of the goal.
Hadley had the better of the second half and could have been level on the hour mark when they hit the post.
That leveller came with ten minutes to go as Tommy Roberts scored a fine individual goal. One ...
