Dave Northfield is hoping Biggleswade’s play-off success can be the trigger for a welcome return home.
FC came from behind to beat local rivals Biggleswade Town in Wednesday’s semi-final – a match played at their adopted home 12 miles away at Bedford Town’s New Eyrie ground.
As a result, only 490 fans turned up to watch, arguably, the biggest local derby ever between two of Biggleswade’s three clubs, prompting renewed calls to bring FC home to join Town and Step 5 United.
