ABBOTTS LEGEND’S A TOWNER

BILLY Holland’s 23-year association with Waltham Abbey is over after agreeing to become Enfield Town manager.
Holland, the club’s record appearance maker and goalscorer, has been in charge of the Abbotts for four years, leading them into the Isthmian North play-offs for the last three seasons, each of those ending in defeat. Now the former Hornchurch, Maldon and Billericay midfielder has agreed to replace Gavin McPherson at the Towners following their relegation from National League South.
Chairman Paul Reed said: “He was the board’s first choice.”
