WITTON Albion have completed a double raid on rivals Runcorn Linnets by snapping up forward pair James Steele and Lewis
Crane.
Steele established himself as one of the leading strikers in the NPL West during Widnes’ 2024/25 title success, scoring 17 goals.
In his two seasons with Widnes, Steele netted 35 times in 84 appearances.
Crane, meanwhile, scored four goals in 18 games for the Linnets last season, including a hat-trick against Bury in the FA Trophy.
He is the nephew of club legend Mike Moseley, one of Albion’s all-time leading scorers with 162 goals.
