OUTPLAYED and outnumbered but title favourites South Shields hung on to spoil Scarborough’s home-coming party.
An 11th-minute goal from Sonny Finch proved decisive when he scored one of a handful of opportunities the visitors created.
By contrast, the hosts created 20 clear chances but could not find the net and were denied an equaliser as their return to the Scarborough Sports Village after a season in Bridlington ended in defeat.
