PETRIE PUTS SAINTS ON THE RIGHT PATH AGAIN

ST ALBANS City started the new season in almost perfect fashion as they overpowered Chatham Town at Clarence Park.
The Chats started the game brightly and inside the opening 15 minutes had the first opening of the match when Harry Lodovica hit the post from ten yards out.
The home side looked to regain a hold on affairs and, just past the half-hour mark, found the opener.
Quick build-up play saw the ball fall to Kieran Petrie on the edge of the box and the forward struck a low effort that found the bottom corner of the net.
